The Netball World Cup (NWC) is netball's flagship event, bringing together the top 16 teams in the world every four years. In 2027, the tournament returns to the iconic city of Sydney, Australia, running from August 25th to September 5th.

Tournament Format

In response to feedback, World Netball is implementing a new, exciting format for NWC2027.

‍New Competitions: The tournament will introduce a Cup and Plate competition.
‍Venue: All matches will be played in one venue to enhance operational excellence and the fan experience.

The host nation automatically qualifies for the competition, alongside the top five teams in the World Netball Rankings, with the remaining teams decided through regional qualifiers. This is an unmissable event for supporters of the sport!
