HOT Events is looking for a talented Events and Groups Executive to join their team located on Victoria Street in Christchurch. 

The ideal candidate will have been in a travel consulting role, specialising in events and groups.  The candidate will bring an enthusiasm for creating events, selling travel, extensive personal travel experience, and a comprehensive knowledge of travel products and destinations.

To be considered for this full time, office based role you must be a friendly and motivated individual with personality plus; have excellent organisational skills, and have the necessary experience.

Essential Experience: 

• A passion for travel, including a good knowledge of world-wide destinations

• Experience in group travel

• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail

• Experience in Events Air (or an equivalent system) and Amadeus or Galileo

• Initiative

• A sense of humour a prerequisite

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• A dedicated team member

Requirements:

• Flexible seven-day availability if required (this role will typically be Monday – Friday, however weekend work may be required with event demands).

• A full New Zealand Driver’s License

• The right to work in New Zealand

• Ability to travel within New Zealand and overseas with groups as required

• High standard of personal presentation

  Due to the requirements of many events, proof of vaccination status with ‘My Vaccine Pass’ will need to be provided.
